Senior Year

This painting is of my trumpet and marching band senior cord.  Every senior in band got a cord to separate them from the rest of the group.  This painting will remind me of the great times I had in all my years of marching band.  The trumpet is at a diagonal  because straight lines are not as intriguing.  Even though the cord is very similar to the hues of the trumpet you can see that it has different shades to make the difference stand out.  They are laying on top of a band uniform to give it a contrast of colors.  There are all sorts of value in the trumpet to help pull the eye around the painting.
